CHAPTER 227.

AN ACT to repeal an act passed in eighteen hun-
dred and fifty-six, chapter one hundred and
forty-five, entitled, An act to incorporate the
Farmers and Merchants Bank of Cecil county.

Passed March
10, 1862.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the act passed March the
eighth, eighteen hundred and fifty-six, chapter
one hundred and forty-five, entitled, An act to in-
corporate the Farmers and Merchants Bank of
Cecil county, be and the same is hereby repealed.

Repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 228.

 

AN ACT to repeal the seventy-ninth, eightieth,
eighty-first, eighty-second, eighty-third, eighty-
fourth, eighty-fifth, and eighty-sixth sections of
the thirty-fifth Article of the Code of Public
General Laws, relating to Elections, and to sub-
stitute in lieu thereof the following.

10, 1862.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the seventy-ninth, eightieth,
eighty-first, eighty-second, eighty-third, eighty-
fourth, eighty-fifth, and eighty-sixth sections of
the thirty-fifth Article of the Code of Public Gene-
ral Laws, relating to Elections, be and they are
hereby repealed, and the following substituted
therefor :

Repealed.

79. This State shall be divided into five dis-
tricts for the choosing of five Representatives in the
Congress of the United States, which shall be
numbered from one to five.
