AN ACT to authorize the Circuit Court for Wor-
cester county, in Equity, to confirm a sale made
by Walter P. Snow, Trustee.

7, 1862.

WHEREAS, In the Circuit Court for Worcester
county, in Equity, in the case of John R. Frank-
lin, administrator of John D, Feild, deceased,
against Benjamin C. Silverthorne, James duff,
Harriet G. Cluff and George duff, Walter P.
Snow, was appointed Trustee to sell the real
estate mentioned in the proceedings in said case,
and on the twenty-second day of June, eighteen
hundred and sixty-one, sold the same, and where-
as, the sale of said land was made in contraven-
tion of the act of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed on the tenth day of May, in the
year eighteen hundred and sixty-one, commonly
known as the Stay Law, in consequence whereof,
the said sale cannot be ratified by the court,
Therefore :

Preamble.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Circuit Court for Worcester
county, in Equity, be and the same is hereby au-
thorized and empowered to ratify and confirm the
said sale so made by the said Walter P. Snow,
and reported to the said court, anything in the
said act of the tenth of May, eighteen hundred
and sixty-one, to the contrary notwithstanding ;

provided, that the sale be regular in all other
respects.

Proviso.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.
