taxes or balances of taxes now remaining due and
uncollected by him in the said district of said
county, in the same manner and with the same
privileges and powers he could or might have done.
within the time limited by law.

Executions.
|
Sec. 2. The said Alexander Barker, before he
shall proceed to execute for any such taxes or bal-
ances of taxes, shall present to each person in-
debted therefor, at least thirty days before he shall
proceed to execute a bill of such tafes or balance
of taxes due by such person, with an affidavit
thereto annexed, (made before some Justice of the
Peace of said county,) that such bill is just and
true as stated, and that he hath not, nor hath any
one for him, received any payment therefor, nor
any security or satisfaction for the same ; and if
any such person against whom any such bill may
be brought, shall before the expiration of the said
thirty days, make oath before some Justice of the
Peace of said county, that he hath fully paid and
satisfied the said bill of taxes or balance of taxes,
then such oath shall forever bar the collection of
such taxes or balance of taxes.

Sec. 3. This act shall take effect from the day
of its passage, and shall continue in force for two
years and no longer.

AN ACT to change the name of William Clarke
Funk, of Washington county, to that of George
Smith.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the name of William Clarke
Funk, an orphan minor, of Washington county,
in the State of Maryland, be and the same is here-
by changed to that of George Smith
|
In force.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.
