AN ACT to change the narae of William Mc-
Keown, of Howard county, to William Crockett.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the name of William
McKeown, of Howard county, be and the same is
hereby changed to William Crockett.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money for the
claims of Samson Caries, James H. League,
James Hopkins, Merryman & Young, Dunnett
& Finney, Hiss and Austen, W. J. Jewell,
James Iglehart, William Wiggins, John, Lin-
denborn, Louis F. Gootee, Whitney, Cushing &
Company, Baltimore City Passenger Railway
Company, John W. Davis, N. R. Merryman,
Thomas McGlannan, William Dadds and Paul
Martin.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he
is hereby directed to issue his warrant upon the
Treasurer to pay Sampson Cariss, or order, two
hundred and eight dollars and fifty cents, for bal-
ance due on gilt frame in Senate Chamber; to pay
James H. League, or order, one hundred and sixty-
one dollars, for hoisting flag on State House by
order of the Governor ; to James Hopkins, or or-
der, one hundred and forty-eight dollars and fifty
cents, for painting and repairs in Senate Chamber
and House of Delegates ; to Merryman & Young,
or order, ninety-two dollars for ventilators in Sen-
