CHAPTER 178.

AN ACT to repeal section two of an act passed at
April session, eighteen hundred and sixty-one,
chapter five, entitled, An act to amend Article
twelve of the Code of Public General Laws, re-
lating to the payment of specie by the Banks of
this State.
|
Repealed.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section two of an act passed
May third, eighteen hundred and sixty -one, at a
special session held at Frederick, chapter five, re-
lating to the payment of specie by the Banks of
this State, be and the same is hereby repealed, and
the following substituted as section two of said
bill:

Exempted
from penalty.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That no corporation
of this State authorized to issue notes for circula-
tion, shall be subject to any forfeiture or penalty
for not redeeming such notes in specie before the
eleventh day of March, eighteen hundred and
sixty-four.

In force.
|
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend section sixteen, of Article
eleven of the Code of Public General Laws, re-
lating to Attorneys-at-Lavv, and Attorneys-in-
Fact.
|
Repealed.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section sixteen of Article eleven
of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
Attorneys-at-Law, and Attorneys-in-Fact, be and
the same is hereby repealed, and that the follow-
ing be incorporated in said Code in lieu thereof :
