Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 175.

 

AN ACT to authorize and empower Gustavus A.
T. Wright, Collector of School Tax in District
Number Thirty-two of Queen Anne's county, to
complete his collections.

Passed Feb.
25, 1862.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Gustavus A. T. Wright
be and be is hereby authorized and empowered to
make and complete his collections in School Dis-
trict Number Thirty-two in Queen Anne's county,
in the same manner as he could have done had he
completed them, in the time specified under the law
already provided.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That before he, the
said Wright, shall proceed to collect the several
amounts remaining unpaid, he shall make a plain
statement of all sums due him as said Collector,
and at least thirty days before he proceeds to col-
lect said taxes, he shall deliver a copy of the same
to each person or persons from whom they may be
due, and if it is required he shall attach an affida-
vit made before a Justice of the Peace of the cor-
rectness of the same, that no part of such taxes as
he may claim has been collected.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this law shall take
effect from the day of its passage.
