CHAPTER 75.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article fifty of
the Code of Public Local Laws for Calver coun-
ty, to regulate the rate of Constables fees in
said county.
|
Code amended.
|
SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the following section be
added to Article five of the Code of Public Local
Laws for Calvert county, to be introduced next,
after section thirty-two of said Article.

Fees charged.
|
33. The several Constables in Calvert county
may charge and receive the following fees for such
services as are herein specified: For serving sum-
mons in civil suit and return, forty cents; for scire
facias and return, forty cents; for levying fieri
facias and return, twenty cents; for delivering a
person committed over to the jail, one dollar; sod
ten cents per mile for every mile, after the first
five miles he may have to travel; for serving sum-
mons for witness and return, twenty cents.

AN ACT to allow Thomas Sudlar, late Sheriff and
Collector of Somerset county, further time to
complete his collections, and to give power to
do so.

|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Thomas Sudlar, late Sheriff
and Collector of Somerset county, be and he is
hereby authorized and empowered for twelve
months from the passage of this act to complete
his collections as Sheriff and Collector of the coun-
ty and State taxes in Somerset county, with the
same and as full authority to complete and enforce
payment of taxes and fees due him as Sheriff and
