No. 288. An act to repeal section ninety-nine of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Montgomery county, relating to the
keeping and boarding of prisoners, and substituting another
section therefor.

No. 289. An act to incorporate the Franklin and Powhatan
Passenger Railway Company.

No. 290. An act to authorize the County Commissioners for
Somerset county to levy a sum of money to indemnify Samuel
Street, of said county, for the amount which he may pay in
consequence of a judgment recorded against him and others
in the Circuit Court for Somerset county, by Henry A. White,
of said county.

No. 291. An act to change the name of Augustus Fouk
Robertson, of Charles county, to William Augustus Fouk.

No. 292. An act in relation to the Elkton Andora and
Lewisville Plank and Turnpike Road Company, requiring
them to put their road in perfect repair, and prohibiting them
from collecting tolls until said repairs are made.

No. 293. An act to provide for the appointment of a visitor
of the Alms House, under the charge of the Trustees of the
Poor of Baltimore city, and to fix his salary.

No. 294. An act to ratify and confirm, and make valid the
action of the County Commissioners of Harford coun ty in levy-
ing a special tax upon the assessable property of said county,
to raise a sum of money to be appropriated to the payment of
bounties to volunteers in the Army of the United States, and
to carry the same into effect.

No. 295. An act to recognize the Hampshire and Baltimore
Coal Company, a corporation created by and existing under
the Laws of the State of West Virginia, as a corporation in
the State of Maryland, and to authorize it to exercise the pow-
ers and privileges of a corporation within the State of Mary-
land, for mining and other purposes.

No. 296. An act to add a new section to Article four of the
Code of Public Local Laws for Baltimore city, title "Va-
grants," for the purpose of extending to the Childrens' Aid
Society, the provisions therein relating to the Home of the
Friendless.

No. 297. An act to change the place of voting in Myers
District, Carroll county.
