14 TITLES OF THE LAWS.

No. 144. An act to incorporate the Board of Beneficence of
St. John's Independent Methodist Protestant Church, in the
city of Baltimore.

No. 145. An act entitled, an act to incorporate a company
for the purpose of cutting and making a canal between the
River Delaware and the Chesapeake Bay, passed on the sev-
enth day of December, seventeen hundred and ninety-nine,
being the act of November sesion, seventeen hundred and
ninety-nine, chapter sixteen.

No. 146. An act to repeal section one hundred and twenty-
four of Article twenty-one of the Public Local Laws relating
to the town of Hagerstown, in Washington county, and to
re-enact the same with an amendment authorizing the Mayor
and Council to light up the streets of said town.

No. 147. An act to make valid a deed from Elizabeth Gear-
hart, Francis M. Bloom and Eliza Bloom, his wife, Joseph
Wagoner and Susan Wagoner, his wife, William S. Blake
and Catharine Blake, his wife, and John H. Wagoner and
Margaret Wagoner, his wife, to Joel W. Marsh.

No. 148. An act to amend the sixteenth Article of the
Code of Public Local Laws relating to Prince George's coun-
ty, by adding thereto an additional section concerning the
allowance to certain witnesses in State cases.

No. 149. An act to repeal section one hundred and eighty-
six of Article twenty of the Code of Public Local Laws relat-
ing to Sheriff's fees.

No. 150. An act to authorize the Register of Wills of Car-
oline county to copy a certain record in his office into a well
bound book, to be kept and used as one of the Will Record
Books of Caroline county.

No. 151. An act to add to the fourth Article of the Code of

Public Local Laws the following section: to confirm, ratify

and legalize an ordinance and the various supplements there-

to entitled, an ordinance to provide for the defence of the city

of Baltimore, by paying a bounty to volunteers who may en-

list under the call of the President of the United States, bear-

ing date June 15th, 1863, to form the quota of said troops

that may be apportioned to said city, approved June 18th,

1863.

No. 152. An act appropriating a sum of money for repairs
and improvements in the State Library.
