CHAPTER 398.

AN ACT to authorize and empower Ignatius Wa-
ters, surviving Trustee of the Methodist Episco-
pal Church at Brookville, Montgomery county,
to convey and deed to the Board of School Com-
missioners of said county a pait of said church
lot for the use of Public Schools.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Ignatius Waters, surviving
Trustee of the Methodist Episcopal Church at
Brookville, Montgomery county, be and he is
hereby authorizzed and empowered to convey by
deecl a portion of said church lot to the Boaid of
Commissioners of Public Schools for the use and
benefit of the Public Schools.

take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to add a new Article to the Code of
Public General Laws, to be entitled, "Theatrical
Exhibitions," to provide for the Regulation and
Government of such Exhibitions.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the following Article be added
to the Code of Public General Laws, under the
title of "Theatrical Exhibitions."
Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That it shall not be lawful
for any Proprietor, Lessee, or Manager of any
Theatre, Museum, or other place of amusement,
to employ women or girls as waiters, or to permit
them to act in such Theatre, or place of amuse-
ment, or among the audience or frequenters of such
Theatre, or place of amusement, as waiters or for
