may be agreed upon between the President and
Directors of the Baltimore and Liberty Turnpike
Company, and the President and Managers of the
Blcomingdale Turnpike Company, to the share-
holders of the said Bloomingdale Turnpike Com-
pany, to be appointed and distributed amongst
them proportionally to their respective interests
in the capital stock of the Bloomingdale Turnpike
Company; but nothing herein contained shall be
construed as limiting or restraining the powers
and franchises of the said Baltimore and Liberty
Turnpike Company, which shall be as full and
ample with respect to said Bloomingdale turnpike
road, as with respect to any other part of its
road, nor. as imposing upon the Baltimore and
Liberty Turnpike Company any debts, contracts,
engagements or liabilities of the Bloomingdale
Turnpike Company.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the width of
every road and portion of road made by the said
Baltimore and Liberty Turnpike Company, un-
der the authority of the act to which this is a
supplement, or of this act, shall be of such width
as said company shall determine, not exceeding

sixty-six feet; provided, that whenever the said
Liberty road, Garrison Forest road, Bloomingdale
road or Windsor Mill road shall be used and ap-
propriated, said turnpike road shall not be less
wide than the now existing bed or beds of said
road or roads respectively; and the portion of
road stoned, macademized, or graveled or other-
wise artificially constructed, shall not anywhere
be less than sixteen and a-half feet wide; and the
said Baltimore and Liberty Turnpike Company .
may acquire and hold such parcels of ground con-
tiguous to the line of its road or roads, each not
exceeding one acre in extent, as said company
may require for the erection of gate-keepers'
houses and yards and gardens appurtenant thereto.

Proviso.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That the said company
shall be entitled to charge and receive the following
tolls on said road or roads: For every horse, mule,
mare or gelding, whether led or ridden, or whether
driven, attached to a vehicle of pleasure or of bur-
den, the sum of one cent for every mile, and in
that proportion for any greater or less distance
traveled, unless the vehicle drawn shall have a
