LAWS OF MARYLAND.

(with the consent of the Bloomingdale Turnpike
Company, as hereinafter provided,) said Balti-
more and Liberty Turnpike Company is author-
ized and empowered to use the bed of the said
Bloomingdale turnpike road to its other terminus,
at the blacksmith shop of John Slack; and the
said Baltimore and Liberty Turnpike Company is
hereby further authorized and empowered to make
a road from the said Bloomingdale turnpike road,
at a point at or near the junction of the Windsor
Mill road therewith, to the terminus of the said
Windsor Mill vroad, at its intersection with Fre-
mont street, in the city of Baltimore, using the
bed of the Windsor Mill road to such extent, and
in such parts and places as the said Baltimore
and Liberty Turnpike Company may find or deem
expedient, but leaving the same whenever utility
and convenience may appear to the said company
to require; and the said Baltimore and Liberty
Turnpike Company is also further authorized, at
any time within six years from the passage of this
act, to turnpike and use that part of the Liberty
road which extends from the Garrison Forest road
to the Reisterstown turnpike.

transfer.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That if a majority of
the shareholders of the Bloomingdale Turnpike
Company, or the President and Managers of said
company, and the President and Directors of the
Baltimore and Liberty Company so agree, the
Bloomingdale Turnpike Company may assign and
transfer to the said Baltimore and Liberty Turn-
pike Company the whole turnpike of the Bloom-
ingdale Turnpike Company, as now located, from
the blacksmith shop of John Slack to Wells' Cor-
ner, and at the same time release and assign to
the said Baltimore and Liberty Turnpike Com-
pany all right and control in, to or over said road
so transferred, including the privilege of exacting
tolls to the said Baltimore and Liberty Turnpike
Company, which shall thenceforward hold, use
and control the same, as fully and absolutely as
any other portion of its turnpike road; and in
consideration of such transfer, release and assign-
ment, the said Baltimore and Liberty Turnpike
Company may issue such number of shares of the
capital stock of the said last mentioned corpora-
tion, each share of the value of twenty dollars, as
