AN ACT to continue in force the act of eighteen
hundred and sixty-two, chapter two hundred
and seventy-six, for the relief of the families of
Maryland volunteers, and appropriating a sum
of money therefor.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the provisions of the act of
eighteen hundred and sixty-two, chapter two hun-
dred and seventy-six, creating a board and appro-
priating a sum of money for the relief of the fam-
ilies of Maiyland volunteers, be and the same are
hereby continued in force until the expenditure of
the sum hereinafter appropriated, and the Com-
missioners appointed in said act are hereby author-
ized to expend the amount hereinafter appropri-
ated in the manner provided in said act.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the sum of fifty
thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be
necessary, is hereby appropriated for the relief of
the families of Maryland volunteers now in the
service of the United States, to be expended in the
manner provided in said act of eighteen hundred
and sixty-two.
