AN ACT to add a new section to Article seven of
the Code of Public Local Laws for Carroll
county to regulate the rate of Constables' fees
in said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the following section be added
to Article seven of the Code of Public Local Laws
for Carroll county, to take place in said Article
immediately after section twenty-one as follows

22 The several Constables in Carroll county
may charge and receive the following fees for such
services as are herein specified for serving sum-
mons in civil suit and return, forty cents, for serv-
ing summons for witness and return, twenty cents,
for scire facias and return, forty cents; for levying
fieri facias and return, twenty-five cents; for
delivering a person committed over to the Jailor,
one dollar, and five cents per mile for every mile
he may have to travel after the first five miles.

AN ACT to incorporate the President and Com-
missioners of the town of Ceciltoa.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the citizens of Cecilton, Cecil
county, are a body politic by the name of "The
President and Commissioners of the town of Cecil-
ton," and as such shall have succession and by their
corporate name may sue and be sued, may grant,
receive and do all other acts as natural persons,
and may purchase and hold real, personal and
mixed property, or dispose of the same for the
benefit of said town.
