authorized and required to cause the writ of fieri
facias issued thereon, returnable to the April term,
eighteen hundred and sixty-three, of the Circuit
Court for Allegany county, to be countermanded
and quashed.
 

CHAPTER 262.

Passed Mar.
10, 1864.

AN ACT, to re-imburse to John A. Steiner,
Sheriff of Frederick county, a sum of money
stolen from his Deputy while in the discharge
of a public duty, by order of the Governor.

Authorized
to pay.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller is hereby
directed to draw his warrant to pay to John A.
Steiner, Sheriff of Frederick county, one hundred
and seventy-five dollars for expenses in arresting
a fugitive from justice.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

 

CHAPTER 263.

10, 1864.

AN ACT to pay the claims of James R. Coursey
and Job T. Moore, and also of Robert Keene,
and also of Willian Tod and George Rumbly,
and also of James E. Robertson of Dorchester
county.

rant.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller is hereby
directed to issue his warrant on the Treasurer to
pay to James R. Coursey and Job T. Moore, own
