part thereof shall be construed as to give to said
corporation any banking privileges.

CHAPTER 261.

 

AN ACT for the relief of John M. Buchanan and
others, sureties of John M. Carleton as Sheriff
of Allegany county.

Passed, Mar
10, 1864.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the judgment entered May
thirteenth, eighteen hundred and forty-five, in
favor of the State of Maryland against John M.
Carleton and his sureties, George Blocher, John
M. Buchanan, James P. Carleton and George
Bruce, for the penalty of the said John M. Carle-
ton's bond as Sheriff of Allegany county,, dated
the seventeenth day of October, eighteen hundred
and forty, to be released on the payment of seven
hundred and sixteen dollars and nine cents,
($716.09,) with interest from the thirteenth day
of May, eighteen hundred and forty-five, and costs
fourteen dollars and eighty-nine cents, ($14.89,)
which said judgment is enroled as "Number sev-
enty-five Trials," on the docket of said court for
the April term, eighteen hundred and forty-five,
be and the same is hereby released and discharged
for all the judgment except the sum of two hun-
dred and fifteen dollars and thirty cents, ($215.30,)
with interest from the twelfth day of May,
eighteen hundred and forty-five, and that the
State's Attorney for Allegany county is hereby

Released.
