CHAPTER 259.

Passed March
10, 1864.

AN ACT granting the assent of the Legislature to
a bequest of a legacy made in the last will and
testament of Jacob Morelock, late of Carroll
county, deceased, to the Lutheran Trustees of
Benjamin's Church and their successors forever;
also, a bequest made by George Henry, late of
the county aforesaid, in his last will and testa-
ment to the Lutheran and Presbyterian Church,
known as Crider's Church, near Westminster.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, Jacob Morelock, late of Carroll coun-
ty, deceased, by his last will and testament, gave
and bequeathed one hundred dollars to the Lu-
theran Trustees of Benjamin's church, the interest
of which is to be applied to the support of the
Lutheran Minister who may, from time to time,
preach in said church; and whereas, George Henry,
late of the county aforesaid, by his last will and
testament, gave and bequeathed twenty dollars to
the Lutheran and Presbyterian church, known as

Crider's church; therefore,

Assent of the
Legislature
granted.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the assent of the Legislature be
and is hereby given to carry into effect the bequest
made in the last will and testament of Jacob More-
lock; late of Carroll county, deceased, in favor of
the Lutheran Trustees of Benjamin's church, near
Westminster, Carroll county; also, to a bequest
made in the last will and testament of George
Henry, late of the county aforesaid, to the Lu-
theran and Presbyterian church, known as Crider's
church.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
