Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That the said com-
pany shall have power to negotiate a loan upon
its bonds, secured by a mortgage of its property;
but nothing herein contained shall be construed to
authorize, the said corporation to issue any note,
token or device, to be used as currency.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and that
the Legislature reserves the right to alter, amend
or repeal this act at pleasure.

AN ACT to allow Alexander Woolford, late Sheriff
of Dorchester county, and Collector of Districts
numbers four and nine therein, further time to
complete his collections of taxes and fees.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Alexander Woolford, late
Sheriff of Dorchester county, and Collector of Dis-
tricts numbers four and nine therein, be and he is
hereby allowed until the first day of March, eigh-

teen hundred and sixty-five, to complete his col-
lections of taxes and fees; provided, that the said
Alexander Woolford, before proceeding to enforce
payment of taxes or fees which may appear by his
books to be due, shall make affidavit to each ac-
count for taxes or fees which he may present,
stating that the same has not been previously paid
to him.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.
