port to those engaged in armed hostility to the
Government of the United States, and that I will
bear true faith and allegiance to the State of Mary-
land and support the Constitution and laws thereof,
and that I will to the best of my skill and judg-
ment, diligently, faithfully and without partiality,
execute the duties appertaining to my office or
appointment as ————, according to the Constitu-
tion of this State, which said oath or affirmation
shall be filed with the Clerk of the Superior Court
of Baltimore city.

AN ACT to amend the twenty-ninth section of
the fifth Article of the Code of Public Local
Laws of this State, relating to the pay of the
pay of the Crier of the Circuit Court for Calvert
county.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section twenty-nine of the fifth
Article of the Code of Public Local Laws of this
State, entitled, Calvert county, relating to the pay
of the Crier of the Circuit Court for Calvert coun-
ty, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows:

Sec. 29. The Crier of the Circuit Court for Cal-
vert county shall be entitled to two dollars a day
for every day he shall attend during the session of
said court with the usual fees allowed by law.

Per diem.

And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
