A. W. BRADFORD, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

ninety-three of Article three of the Code of Public
Local Laws, relating- to Baltimore county, be
amended and re-enacted to read as follows: The
Sheriff of said county shall be allowed two dollars
a day a day for each day he shall attend the Cir-
cuit Court for said county in person, or by deputy,
and shall be entitled to sixty -five cents per day for
keeping and boarding each prisoner committed to
or confined in the jail of said county.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 225.

 

A SUPPLEMENT to the act entitled, An act to
incorporate the Presbyterian Church in the city
of Baltimore, passed at November session, seven-
teen hundred and ninety-seven, chapter fifty-
eight.

9, 1864.

WHEREAS, By the act to which this is a supple-
ment, the body politic thereby created was empow-
ered to acquire and hold property not exceeding in
value the sum of six thousand dollars, which limit
was extended to twenty-five thousand dollars by
the act of eighteen hundred and fifty-six, chapter
three hundred and thirty-one.

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the said corporation may ac-
quire and hold by purchase, gift, devise or bequest,

Proviso.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
