Harrison has paid over to the Comptroller the full
amount of his indebtedness, and the Legislature
has, on other occasions, under similar circum-
stances, allowed a much larger amount.

Authorized
to refund.
|
SECTION 1 . Therefore, be it enacted by the General
Assembly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of
the State is hereby ordered and directed to refund
to the said John Harrison, Collector of the State
Tax as aforesaid, the said sum of three hundred
dollars.

In force.
|
Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after the date of its passage.
|

AN ACT to provide for the presentation of Regi-
mental Flags to the Maryland Regiments in the
service of the United States.
|
|

rected to pro-
cure flags.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Governor is hereby directed
to procure Regimental Flags and present the same
in such manner and with such direction as he may
see fit, as to the particular Regiments; to such
Maryland Regiments, Batteries or Battalions, as
have borne or may hereafter bear a distinguished
part in any of the battles of the War.

priated.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the sum of two
thousand five hundred dollars, or so much thereof
as the Governor may deem necessary, is hereby
appropriated to carry out this act, and the Comp-
troller shall draw his warrant for such sum, to the
order of the Governor, in such amounts as the
Governor may request.
