AN ACT to refund to Samuel F. Butler certain
moneys over paid by him into the State Treasury.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer be and he is
hereby authorized and directed, upon the warrant
of the Comptroller, to pay to Samuel F. Butler,
late Register of Wills of Baltimore county, the
sum of one hundred and twenty-five dollars,
being the amount over paid by him into the State
Treasury.

take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT for the relief of John Harrison, Tax
Collector.
|

9, 1864.
|
|
WHEREAS, John Harrison, a Collector of the
State Tax for the Fifth Election District of St.
Mary's county, did, in the year eighteen hundred
and sixty-one, collect the sum of three hundred
dollars, belonging to the State, and left the county
of St. Mary's (as an officer of the State) for the
purpose of paying to the Comptroller the aforesaid
sum of three hundred dollars as State Tax, and on
his way to Annapolis, in the city of Baltimore,
was robbed of said amount, as by testimony duly
attested dothi appear; and, whereas, the said John
