money paid in error into the Treasury; to pay
William J. Jones, or order, four hundred dollars,
for legal services rendered the State; to refund
James C. Milburn, or order, seven hundred and
eighty-three dollars and thirty-five cents paid by
him into the Treasury; to refund to John H. Mil-
burn seven hundred and twenty-nine dollars and
eighty-eight cents paid by him into the Treasury ;
to pay Hayward, Bartlett & Company four hun-
dred and thirty-five dollars and sixty-nine cents,
for sundry articles furnished the State; to pay
Randall & Hagner, or order, one hundred dol-
lars, for legal services rendered the State; to pay
N. Brewer, or order, one hundred dollars, for legal
services rendered the State; to pay A. Henderson,
or order, two dollars and eighty-eight cents, for
stationery furnished the State.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to provide for the payment of the claims
of William Thompson, of R., and Richard H.
Miles, Tobacco Commissioners, for their ser-
vices and expenses.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to draw his war-
rant upon the Treasurer in favor of William
Thompson, of R., and Richard H. Miles, Tobacco
Commissioners, for the sum of two thousand five
hundred and thirty-two dollars, which said sum
is ascertained to be due to them for their services,
and expenses incurred, contracted and rendered in
the execution of the act of eighteen hundred and
sixty, chapter two hundred and twenty-five, enti-
tled, "An Act to provide for disposing of the State
Tobacco Warehouse's, and for the building of a
