collection of fees, fines and forfeitures; provided,
that nothing herein contained shall prevent or
delay the enforcement of their rights and reme-
dies by the Comptroller, County Commissioners
or others interested.

Proviso.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
not continue in force longer than the first day of
June, eighteen hundred and sixty-five.

Limited.

Sec. 4.: And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 10.

 

AN ACT to make valid the devise made in the
last will and testament of Christianna Scholl,
late of Frederick county, deceased, to the Evan-
gelical Lutheran Church of Frederick, in Fred-
erick city, Maryland.

Passed Feb.
4, 1864.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the assent of the Legislature is
hereby given to the devise of two hundred dollars
made by Christianna Scholl, late of Frederick
county, deceased, by her last will and testament,
to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Frederick,
in Frederick city, Frederick county, and the same
is hereby made valid and of due effect in law, and
that David J. Markey, the executor of said Chris-
tianna Scholl, is hereby authorized and directed
to pay over the same to the council of said church.

Devise made
valid.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
