CHAPTER 55.

AN ACT to amend and re-enact Section one hun-
dred and thirty-five, Article twenty-one, of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Washington
county.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section one hundred and thirty-
five of Article twenty-one of the Code of Public
Local Laws, be amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows :

re-enacted.
|
135. They may regulate by ordinance, the mar-
ket in said town, appoint an Inspector of said
market, assign his duties and allow him a reason-
able salary; and may authorize him, under their
control and direction, to rent out for the benefit
of the Corporation, the butcher stalls in, and the
benches in and about said market house. They
may also lease the hall, now known as the Town
Hall, for a period, not at any one time, exceeding
fifteen years.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT to amend the sixth and seventh sections
of the fifty-sixth Article of the Code of Public
General Laws, relating to the licensing of Bil-
liard Tables.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sixth and seventh sections
of the fifty-sixth Article of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, relating to licenses on billiard tables,
be and the same are hereby amended and re-en-
acted so as to read as follows :
