SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Edward T. Norris, Sum-
merfield Baldwin, Amon Green and Samuel W.
Green, and their associates, successors and assigns,
be and they are hereby created a corporation and
body politic, by the name, style and title of the
Warren Manufacturing Company of Baltimore
County, and by that name may have perpetual
succession, and may be capable to sue and be sued,
plead and be impleaded, answer and defend and be
answered and defended in any court of law or
equity, may have and use a common seal which
they shall have power to renew and alter at plea-
sure, may ordain and establish by-laws and regu-
lations, and generally may do every other act or
thing necessary to carry into effect the provisions

Objects of
incorporation.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the objects and
and purposes of this corporation are declared to be
the manufacturing and vending of cotton and
woolen goods, or either of them, and the carrying
on any other manufactures that the said corpora-
tion may deem proper and necessary to connect
therewith; for which purpose they are hereby
authorized and empowered to purchase, hold and
dispose of property, personal or mixed, and lands
in fee simple, to the amount of five hundred acres,
and to erect thereon all needful buildings and
improvements.
