CHAPTER 110.

AN ACT to prohibit the granting of license for
the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors or
lager beer at or near Federalsburg, in Dorches-
ter and Caroline counties, in the State of Mary-
land.
|
License not
to be issued.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That hereafter it shall not be lawful
for the Clerks for the Circuit Courts for Dorchester
or Caroline counties to issue license to any person
or persons to sell spirituous or fermented liquors
or lager beer at Federalsburg, Maryland, or at any
place nearer than one mile in every direction, un-
less for medicinal purposes and upon the prescrip-
tion of a respectable physician.

Penalty.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That for every vio-
lation of the foregoing section the persons or per-
sons convicted of the same, shall for each and eve-
ry offence, pay not less than twenty dollars nor
more than fifty dollars, one half to the informer
and the other half to the State.

In force.
|
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend the thirty-second section of the
seventeenth Article of the Code of Public Local
Laws of this State relating to the election of
Commissioners for the town of Centreville, in
Queen Anne's county.

Amended and
re-enacted.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section thirty-two of the seven-
enteeth Article of the Code of Public Local Laws
