nineteen, &c., devise and bequeath two hundred
dollars, to be raised out of his property and paid
to the Trustees of the Benevolent Society of the
United Brethren in Christ for missionary purposes,
and did also devise and bequeath one-eighth of the
residue of his property to the Elders, Trustees and
members of the German Evangelical Reformed
Church, in the city of Baltimore, and their suc-
cessors in office, to be by them invested in ground
rents or otherwise for the use and benefit of the
said church, so long as the said church continues
to take its Preachers from the Church of the Uni-
ted Brethren in Christ — in the event of the said
German Evangelical Reformed Church refusing to
receive their ministers from the United Brethren
in Christ, then, and in that case, the above named
one-eighth, so invested, with the use thereof, go to
the Trusteed or Board of the Benevolent Society of
the United Brethren in Christ in Hagerstown,
Maryland, for the purpose of raising a meeting
house or congregation in the city of Baltimore;
therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Trustees of the Benev-
olent Society of the United Brethren in Christ, al-
so the German Evangelical Reformed Church in
the city of Baltimore, and also the Trustees or
Board of the Benevolent Society of the United
Brethren in Christ in Hagerstown, be and they
are hereby permitted, authorized and empowered
to receive, take and hold the property and estate
devised and bequeathed to them as aforesaid.

Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
