Sec. 32. All persons who have resided within
the corporate limits of said town for six months,
and who are entitled to vote for Delegates to the
General Assembly, shall, at the Court House in
said town, on the first Monday in April annually,
elect by ballot three persons, residents of and hold-
ing real estate in said town above the value of three
hundred dollars, as Commissioners.

take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal the eighty-first section of Ar-
tide seven of the Code of, Public Local, Laws,
relating to the . Sheriff of Carroll county, as
amended by chapter three hundred and fifty,
one, passed January session, eighteen hundred
and sixty-four, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the eighty-first section of
Article seven of the Code of Public Local Laws,
relating to the Sheriff of Carroll county, as
amended by chapter three hundred and fifty-One,
passed at January session, eighteen hundred and
sixty-four, be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted so as to read as follows :

81. The Sheriff of Carroll county shall be enti-
tled to such sum of money, per day, for boarding
each prisoner, or person committed to or confined
in the jail of said county, as the County Commis-
sioners of said county shall determine, not to
exceed seventy-five cents per day for such prisoner
or person, and the said County Commissioners are
hereby authorized and empowered to pay to the
