CHAPTER 105.

AN ACT to amend the Charter of the Cumberland
Coal and Iron Company.
|

16, 1865.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That as much of the charter of the
Cumberland Coal and Iron Company as restricts
their right to charge for transpoitation, is hereby
repealed as to all cases in which they may make a
special contract for transportation, and as to cases
not regulated by special contract, the said com-
pany is hereby authorized to make the same charges
for transportation which the Baltimore and Ohio

Restriction
removed.
|
Railroad Company are authorized to make ; pro-
vided, that if the said company shall at any time
carry by special contract at lower rates than the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad are authorized to
charge, then they shall charge no other person,
except under then existing contracts, a rate higher
than the rate of such special contract.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

A Bill entitled AN ACT to amend the Act passed
February eighth, eighteen hundred and sixty-
five, at the present session of the General As-
sembly, entitled an Act to provide bounty for
soldiers entering the service of the United States
to fill the quotas of Maryland, Under the call of
the President of the United States, of December
eighteen hundred and sixty-four, and under
future calls.
