AN ACT to alter and change the name of Maria
Behrens, of Baltimore city, to Henrietta John

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That from and after the passage of
this act the name of Maria Behrens, of Baltimore
city, be and the same is hereby changed to that of
Henrietta John.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Philadel-
phia and Baltimore Central Railroad Company,
passed at January session eighteen hundred
and fifty-two, chapter three hundred and twenty-
six.

Section
amended.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the twenty-third section
of the act of eighteen hundred and fifty-two, chap-
ter three hundred and twenty-six, be and the same
is hereby amended so as to allow the said Phila-
delphia and Baltttnore Central Railroad Company,
twenty instead of ten years to complete the con-

struction of said road; provided, that the said
Philadelphia and Baltimore Central Railroad shall
be located so that it shall not run more than two
miles south of the village of Bel-Air, in Harford
county; and, provided further, that the said Phila-
delphia Central Railroad Company shall com-
mence at the city of Baltimore, and complete five
miles of said road in each and every year; and, pro-
vided further, that the first five miles of said road
shall be built on or before the first day of January
A. D., eighteen hundred and sixty-seven,

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
