AN ACT to repeal the eight hundred and nintieth
section of the fourth article of the Code of Public
Local Laws, given certain powers to single Jus-
tices of the Peace in the city of Baltimore in rela-
tion to landlords and tenants, and to substitute
therefor a section increasing the power of such
Justices in the premises.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That, the eight hundred and nine-
tieth section of the fourth article of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, be and the same is hereby repealed,
and the following section substituted therefor, viz:

One Justice of the Peace of said city shall have
all the powers conferred upon two Justices and a
Jury by the general law in relation to landlords
and tenants, subject to appeal as in other cases of
Judgments by Justices of the Peace in said city.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this act shall
go into effect from and immediately after its passage.

CHAPTER 97.

AN ACT to amend the seventy-fifth article of the
Code of Public General Laws relating to Plead-
ings, Practice and Proofs by adding a section
thereto, to authorize the removal of Equity cau-
ses in the Superior Court for Baltimore city, and
in the Circuit Court for Baltimore city, from one
to the other of those courts.
