AN ACT to ratify the proceedings of the Circuit
Court for Allegany county as a Court of Equity,
appointing Wm. Walsh, trustee, to complete the
collection of State and county taxes for the years
eighteen hundred and sixty and eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-one, and perform the other duties
of collector in place of John Callan, late collec-
tor, deceased.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, on the application of the sureties of
John Callan, deceased, late collector of State and
county taxes, for Allegany County, for the years
eighteen hundred and sixty and eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-one, the Circuit Court for Allega-
ny county as a Court of Equity, appointed Wm.
Walsh, trustee, to complete the collection of said
taxes, therefore:

Orders of
court ratified.
|
SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the proceedings and orders of
said court in the premises be and the same are
hereby ratified and confirmed, and that the said
trustee be and he is hereby empowered to collect
said State and county taxes for said years, eighteen,
hundred and sixty and eighteen hundred and sixty-
one, and discharge all the duties, and exercise all
the powers appertaining to the office of collector of
State and county taxes under the Code of Public
General Laws.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
