CHAPTER 88.

CHAP. 88.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money for the
payment of the claims of Thomas J, Brice, Exe-
cutor of Ann Brice, Owen M. Taylor, Caleb Stew-
art, Thomas Gardner and John H. Thompson.

3, 1861.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of two hundred and
fifty-two dollars and twenty-seven cents be, and
the game is hereby appropriated, for the payment of
Thomas J. Brice, Executor of Ann Brice, for over
payment of State Tax on collateral inheritances on
Bank stock as per certificate of the Register of
Wills for Anne Arundel county; to Owen M.
Taylor for services rendered the State in the year
1858 in attending to the State Law Library, when
said Library was removed to the Senate Chamber
during the repairs to the State House; to Caleb
Stewart for services rendered as Porter to the Court
of Appeals; to Thomas Gardner for one year's ser-
vices rendered as keeper of the House of Delegates
and Committee rooms; and to John H. Thompson
for publishing Regimental and Brigade orders.

Sum appro-
priated.

SEC. 2, And be it enacted, That the Treasurer on
the warrant of the Comptroller, be, and he is here-
by authorized and directed to pay to Thomas J.
Brice, Executor of Ann Brice, twenty-five dollars
and twenty-seven cents; to Owen M. Taylor, ten
dollars; to Caleb Stewart, sixty dollars; to Thom-
as Gardner, one hundred dollars; and to John H.
Thompson, fifty-seven dollars.

Authorised,
to pay.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
