CHAPTER 61.

CHAP. 62.

AN ACT authorizing the County Commissioners
of Frederick county at their discretion, to pur-
chase of Thomas H. O'Neal, for the use of said
county, all the field notes, plats, Surveyor's
Books, &c., now in his possession.

Passed June
7, 1861.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of
Frederick county be and they are hereby author-
ized and empowered, in their discretion, to pur-
chase from Thomas H. O'Neal, for the use of the
said county, all his field notes, plats, Surveyor's
Books, &c., at and for such sum or price as may
be agreed upon between the said Commissioners
and the said O'Neal; and in case said Commis-
sioners shall determine to make said purchase, they
shall levy upon the assessable property of said
county the sum of money necessary to pay for the
same.

Authorised
to purchase.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 62.

 

AN ACT to amend the eighty-eighth section of
Article seventh of the Code of Public Local Laws,
relating to Carroll county, by adding thereto the
following:

18, 1861,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That any white person or persons,
free negro or slave, who shall violate any of the
penal ordinances, or any ordinance, or clause of
any ordinance of the corporation of Uniontown, the
violation of which, subjects the party violating the
same to a fine, shall, immediately after the fine is
imposed, pay the same, otherwise the said. party
