CHAP. 60.

CHAPTER 59.

13, 1861.

AN ACT to provide for the compensation of Wil-
liam A. Granville, for certain services performed,
by him in promulgating a "Proclamation of the
Governor. "

Authorised
to pay.

SECTION 1. Se if enacted By the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the war-
rant of the Comptroller, be and he is hereby direct-
ed to pay William A. Granville the sum of twenty-
five dollars, in full compensation for conveying from;
Annapolis to Baltimore the Governor's proclama-
tion convening the Legislature in Frederick city:

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

 

CHAPTER 60.

Passed June
18, 1861

AN ACT adding a new section to the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, relating to the Judges of the
Orphans' court for Montgomery county.

Per Diem.

SECTION 101. Each Judge of the Orphans' court
for said county shall be entitled to three dollars a
day for each day he shall attend to the duties of
his office, and five cents for every mile he shall ne-
cessarily travel from his place of residence to their
place of meeting, but no mileage in returning.

In force.

SEC. 102. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from, and after its passage.
