James E. Tate for articles furnished the Senate,
House of Delegates and Court of Appeals; for the
payment of John H. Emerson for publishing Pro-
clamation of the Governor and Brigade Orders;
for the payment of A. G. Gullett for publishing
Brigade and Regimental orders.

CHAP. 51.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the treasurer
on the warrant of the comptroller be and he is here-
by authorised and directed to pay to James E.
Tate, two hundred and twelve dollars and ninety-
one cents; to John H. Emerson thirty-three dollars;
and to A. G. Gullett twenty-nine dollars.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 51.

 

AN ACT to amend the fourth Article of the Code
of Public Local Laws, by repealing the six hun-
dred and third section thereof, relating to the
mode of drawing Jurors in and for the city of
Baltimore, and substituting therefor the follow-
ing sections providing for the more effectual pre-
vention and punishment of fraud in such draw-
ings.

20, 1861.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land That the six hundred and third section of the
fourth Article of the Code of Public Local Laws,
be, and the same is hereby repealed and the follow-
ing sections substituted therefor:

Repealed,

SECTION 1. The said Judges, having prepared the
said list, shall meet in such one of the court rooms,
of the city of Baltimore, and at such time as they
shall appoint, not less than ten days before the be-
ginning of the May term of the Superior court for
Baltimore city, and shall cause all the names, se-
lected by the Judges as aforesaid, to be inscribed
upon ballots, which shall be of equal size, color
and appearance, and shall be closely folded, and
