MR. JOHN F. COLE
Mr. John F. Cole is the son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Cole, who
were among the oldest settlers in
Washington, D. C. He is a product
of the public schools and Howard Uni-
versity. He married Miss Alice E.
Cole, who was among the first group
of public school teachers of the Dis-
trict of Columbia. He is the father
of Miss Nathalie Cole, a school teach-
er, and F. Armond Cole, a student
at Howard Medical School. Mr. Cole
has been a member of the choir of St.
Augustine's Catholic Church for the
past 25 years, an instructor of violin
for the past 30 years, and musician
among the first rank. He is inter-
ested in all phases of social and poli-
tical interests tending toward the up-
lift of his race. Employed in War
Department past 16 years.
