CITY OF BALTIMORE. 19

Maryland Hospital—Situated on an eminence in the Eastern
part of the city, fronting on the old Joppa road, and about a hun-
dred yards East of the road leading from Market street Fell's
Point to the new cut Bell Air road, and about the same distance
South of Monument street. It is at present superintended by
the Sisters of Charity.

General Dispensaries.—There are two of them, the one situ-
ated at the corner of Holliday street and Orange alley, the othet
at the intersection of East Baltimore street and Harford street
and the bridge.

Gas House—Corner of North and East Saratoga streets.

Museum—North West corner of Baltimore and North Calvert
streets.

Odd Fellows Hall—North Gay street, North of Orange alley

CHURCHES, MEETING HOUSES, &c.

ROMAN CATHOLICS.

1. The Cathedral, intersection of Mulberry and North Charles
street, a massy and beautiful granite structure, 156 feet long-.

2. St. Peter;s, intersectiou of Saratoga and Little Sharp streets.

3. St. John's, corner of Saratoga and Park streets.

4. St. Patricks, corner Market and Bank streets, F..P.

5. St. Mary's, Pennsylyania Avenue, on the Seminary lot.

PROTESTANT EPISCOPALIAN.

Christ Church, corner Baltimore and Front streets.
St. Paul's Church, corner Charles and Saratoga streets.
St. Peter's Church, corner Sharp and German streets.
Trinity Church, between High and Exeter, near Wilk st.
