96 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections four hundred and ten (410), four hundred
and eleven (411), and four hundred and twelve (412), of
Article 27, entitled "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle
"Trade—Trading Stamps," of the Code of Public General
Laws of the State of Maryland, as legalized by Chapter 72
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1904,
be and the same are hereby repealed; that Section four hun-
dred and twelve (412) be and the same is hereby re-enacted
so as to be numbered Section four hundred and eleven (411)
of said Article 27, and that five new sections, numbered re-
spectively Section four hundred and ten (410), to follow imme-
diately section numbered four hundred and nine (409), and
Sections four hundred and twelve (412), four hundred and
twelve A (412A), four hundred and twelve B (412B), and four
hundred and twelve C (412c), and following immediately after
said Section four hundred and eleven (411), as re-enacted,
be and the same are hereby added to said Article 27, the said
section so re-enacted as renumbered and said five new sec-
tions so added tp said Article, to read respectively, as follows:

SEC. 410. It shall not be unlawful for any manufacturer
to place his own tickets, coupons or other vouchers in or upon
packages of goods manufactured by him, such tickets, coupons
or other vouchers to be redeemed by such manufacturer, either
in money or merchandise, whether said packages are sold
directly to the consumer or through retail merchants; nor
shall it be unlawful for any person to issue with such pack-
ages, tickets, coupons or other vouchers so issued by said manu-
facturer.

SEC. 411. No person shall sell or issue any stamps, trading
stamps, cash discount stamp, check, ticket, coupon or other
similar device, which will entitle the holder thereof, on pre-
sentation thereof, either singly or in definite number, to re-
ceive, either directly from the vender or indirectly through
any other person, money or goods, wares and merchandise, in
which there shall be printed or written upon the face of each
of said stamps, trading stamps, cash discount stamps, checks,
tickets, coupons or other similar devices, a different redeem-
able value in merchandise from the redeemable value in money.

SEC. 412. No person, firm or corporation shall issue, sell or
give any stamp, trading stamp, cash discount stamps, ticket,
check, coupon or other similar device referred to in Sections
404, 405, 407, 408, 411, 412A, and 412B of this Article, of which
the redeemable value shall be less than one cent. And said
monetary redeemable value shall be legibly printed or written
upon the face of each stamp, trading stamp, cash discount
