said dog or gyp from the 1st of June preceding the payment of
such licenses to the 31st day of May next following.

SEC. 58B. For carrying into effect the provisions of Section

SEC. 58c. The constables for the respective election districts

or gyp in their respective election districts, and to furnish to
each owner or custodian of such dog or gyp one of said tags
upon payment to said constable of the license fee imposed by
Section 58A, and to collect said license fee from said owner or
custodian, and to turn over all fees so collected to the said
Board of County Commissioners at their first meeting in each
and every month. And should the owner or custodian of any

constable when called upon to do so, the constable shall imme-
diately give notice to such owner or custodian in writing, that
unless said license is paid within a period of twenty days from
the date of said notice that he, the constable, will kill said dog
or gyp, and upon the failure of the owner or custodian to com-
ply with the said notice by paying the license fee prescribed by
this Act, it shall be the duty of the constable to immediately
kill said dog or gyp, wherever found, and the said constables
are hereby empowered to enter upon the premises of any person
in said Charles county for the purpose of carrying into effect
any of the provisions of this Act, and each of said constables
shall receive the sum of twenty-five cents for each dog or gyp
so licensed by him, and the sum of fifty cents for each dog or
gyp killed by him, under the provisions of this Act, to be paid
to the said constables out of the moneys collected as license
