748 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

and sub-titled "County Commissioners," as said Sections
were enacted, by Chapter 215 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland passed at the January Session, 1894.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 49 and 49A of Article 9 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, titled "Charles County," sub-titled "County
Commissioners," as the same were enacted by Chapter 215 of
the Acts of 1894, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:

SEC. 49. There shall be five County Commissioners for
Charles County until Tuesday after the first Monday in Novem-
ber, 1911, after which time the number shall be reduced to
three.

SEC. 49A. That the one County Commissioner elected on
the Tuesday after the first Monday of November, 1907, to wit,
Marsena C. Gray, shall hold his office for the term of six years
after the date of his election, and the two County Commission-
ers elected on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of No-
vember, 1909, to wit, George A. Carpenter and Bernard M.
Mudd, shall hold their offices for the term of six years from
the date of their election. And at the expiration of their re-
spective terms there shall be elected in said Charles county at
the general election to be held therein, the number of persons
as County Commissioners equal to the number whose term
shall then expire, and who shall serve for the term of six years,
or until their successors shall be elected and qualified.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 18.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 58A
of Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Charles
County," sub-title "Dogs," as the same was enacted by Chap-
ter 220 of the Acts of 1900, and to add new sections to be des-
ignated as Sections 58B, 58C, and 58D.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 58A of Article 9 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Charles County," sub-title "Dogs," as enacted by
Chapter 220 of the Acts of 1900, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and certain new sections added, to be designated Section
58B, Section 58C, and Section 58D, so as to read as follows:
