CHAPTER 196.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Cecil
County to refund to Margaret A. Steele seventeen dollars
and thirty-four cents, money erroneously paid into the Treas-
ury of Cecil county as county taxes in the year 1908.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,, That the County Commissioners of Cecil County, Mary-
land, be and they are hereby authorized and directed to refund
to Margaret A. Steele seventeen dollars and thirty-four cents
erroneously paid into the county treasury as county taxes for
the year 1908.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 191.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 112A
of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Cecil County," sub-title "County Commissioners," as
enacted by Chapter 122 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1898.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 112A of Article 8 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Cecil County,"
sub-title "County Commissioners," as enacted by Chapter 122
of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1898, be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to
read as follows:
SEC. 112A. The Board of County Commissioners of Cecil
County, as provided by Section 9 of Article 43 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Health," shall ex
officio constitute a local board of health for their respective
county, and shall have and exercise all the duties of a board
of health as provided in said Article, except in the cases where
the charter of any city or town in the State contains provi-
sions inconsistent therewith; and the said County Commis-
sioners shall not be entitled to receive any compensation for
the performance of the duties of the board of health in addi-
tion to the salary they receive as such County Commissioners,
but said salary shall be taken and accepted by them in full
payment of all compensation for such services.
