each of said districts shall be represented in the Board of
County Commissioners for Cecil County by one Commissioner,
who shall be a resident thereof, and who shall be voted for and
elected by a majority of all the votes cast in said county for
the election of said Commissioners.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall in no
way affect the members of the present Board of County Com-
missioners in their place of residence, or otherwise, during
their present term of office.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 8.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 115, 116 and 117 of Article 8 of the
Public Local Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Cecil
County," sub-title "County Commissioners," and to re-enact
Sections 115 and 117 thereof with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 115, 116 and 117 of Article 8 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Cecil
County," sub-title "County Commissioners," be and the same
are hereby repealed, and Sections 115 and 117 thereof be and
the same are hereby re-enacted with amendments so as to read
as follows:

SEC. 115. The County Commissioners shall, before making
their annual levy in each and every year, contract for printing
and publishing, for the period of one year from the date of
making such contract, all matters required by law to be pub-
lished, except the public local laws, which may be passed at
each session of the General Assembly, in two newspapers, and
not more than two, which papers shall be of large circulation
and published in Cecil county; provided, said contract shall
not allow for compensation for such printing and publishing
a sum exceeding in the aggregate eight hundred dollars.

SEC. 117. The County Commissioners shall cause to be pub-
lished in two newspapers, published in Cecil county and hav-
ing a large circulation therein, and not more than two, all pub-
lic local laws passed at each session of the General Assembly
affecting Cecil county, and made to take effect from the date
of their passage, once a week for three successive weeks.
