678 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Vary-
land, That every Justice of the Peace for Caroline County
shall, on or before the first day of June in each and every year,
file with the County Commissioners of said county a full and
detailed account, verified by his oath or affirmation, of all fines,
forfeitures and penalties imposed by him under the laws of
this State, during the twelve preceding months, which said
account shall show the names of the respective defendants, the
Acts of Assembly under which said fines, forfeitures and pen-
alties were respectively imposed, and the amounts paid in each
case by the said respective defendants; and the said Justice of
the Peace, at the time of filing said account, shall pay over to
the said County Commissioners the amount of said fines, for-
feitures and penalties so received, or the portion thereof, to
which the said County Commissioners are entitled under the
law, to be accounted for by said County Commissioners as
other moneys of the State or county are accounted for by them.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted; That every Justice of the
Peace for said Caroline County who shall violate the provisions
of Section 1 hereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction, shall be subject to a fine of not more than two
hundred dollars or to imprisonment in the Maryland House of
Correction for not more than twelve months, or both fine and
imprisonment, in the discretion of the Court.

SEC. 2A. Be it enacted, That all Acts inconsistent with this
Act are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 74.

AN ACT to confer additional powers of taxation upon the Com-
missioners of Federalsburg for the purpose of repairing, im-
proving and constructing Bridge street from its intersection
with Main street to its intersection with Huston's Branch
Shoemaker road.

Whereas, By virtue of the power vested in the Commissioners
of Federalsburg by its Charter, being Chapter 149 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1902, the said
Commissioners of Federalsburg have changed the corporate
limits of the town of Federalsburg so that Bridge street from
curb to curb, beginning at Main street and running to its
