SEC. 195A. The Baltimore County Roads Engineer shall
appoint an assistant, whose duty .shall be to render said Roads
Engineer and the Highways Commission of Baltimore County
such professional and clerical assistance as the said Roads
Engineer and Highways Commission may find requisite and
necessary; said assistant to the Roads Engineer shall receive
a compensation of f 1,000, to be paid in equal monthly instal-
ments. The salary of the Baltimore County Roads Engineer
and his traveling expenses and the expenses incurred in the
discharge of his duties and the salary of his assistant shall be
paid out of the general road and bridge fund of the county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on May 1, 1910.

CHAPTER 317.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 336
of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Baltimore County," relating to additional compensa-
tion of the County Commissioners of Baltimore County,
sitting as the Highways Commission of Baltimore County,
as enacted by Chapter 495, Section 336, of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January Ses-
sion, nineteen hundred and eight.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 336 of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County," relating to
additional compensation of the County Commissioners of
Baltimore County sitting as the Highways Commission of
Baltimore County, as enacted by Chapter 495, Section 336, of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the
January session, nineteen hundred and eight, be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to
read as follows:
SEC. 336. Each of the County Commissioners of Baltimore
County shall be entitled to receive the sum of twelve hundred
dollars per annum as compensation for the extra duties
imposed upon them as the Highways Commission of Baltimore
County; said sums to be paid said Commissioners in addition
to their regular salaries as County Commissioners, and to be
paid in equal monthly instalments by the Treasurer of said
county out of the general road fund of the county.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
December 31st, in the year 1911.
