384A. The State's Attorney for Baltimore County is hereby
authorized and empowered to appoint a clerk, said clerk so ap-
pointed not to be an attorney at law, at a compensation of forty
dollars per month, to be paid by the County Commissioners of
Baltimore County, which said clerk shall perform such clerical
work in the said State's Attorney's office and such other work
as he may be directed by the said State's Attorney.
384B. Any clerk appointed under the provisions of the pre-
ceding section shall, before he enters upon the duties of his
office, take and subscribe before the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Baltimore County an oath that he will keep secret all
matters and things appertaining to the said State's Attorney's
office.
384c. Any clerk appointed as aforesaid who shall violate
any of the provisions of the preceding sections with regard to
secrecy shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on
conviction thereof shall be fined not exceeding one thousand
dollars, or imprisoned in jail not exceeding one year, or be
both fined and imprisoned, in the discretion of the Court.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 84.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 195
of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Baltimore County," as amended by Chapter 236 of the
Acts of 1908, and to add thereto an additional section, to be
known as Section 195A.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 195 of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County," as amended by
Chapter 236 of the Acts of 1908, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted and an additional section added
thereto, to follow Section 195, to be known as Section 195A,
so as to read as follows:
195. The Baltimore County Roads Engineer shall receive a
salary of three thousand dollars annually, in monthly instal-
ments of two hundred and fifty dollars each, and five hundred
dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to meet his
traveling expenses and the expenses incurred in the discharge
of his duties.
