than with hook and line; and any person who shall violate the
provision of this Act within the period of five years shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction before a
Justice of the Peace, shall be fined not less than fifty dollars
for each offense.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 699.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article two, the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," to be known
as Section 221A, and to provide for the preventing of the
running at large of stock and swine in the Third Precinct of
the Fifth District of said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be added to Article two of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel
County," to follow immediately after Section 221, to be known
as Section 221A, and to read as follows:

SEC. 22lA. Tt shall lie unlawful for any owner of stock
or swine to allow the same to run at large on any private or
public property in the Third Precinct of the Fifth Election
District of Anne Arundel County, and any persons whose stock
or swine are found running at large in said precinct shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be punished by a
fine of five dollars and costs for each offense; such fines and
costs shall be recovered before any Justice of the Peace in said
precinct as other fines are recovered, and shall be distributed
as follows: Half of such fine to the informer, and the balance
shall be turned over to the County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel County, to be distributed as other fines and costs col-
lected from the Fifth District.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
