missioners provided for in the next succeeding section of this
Act, whenever twenty-five or more taxpayers of the Fifth Dis-
trict petition the County Commissioners to do so, and the
owner or owners of the beds of said roads, streets, alleys or
highways agree to convey an easement in the same to the said
county without cost to the said county.

SEC. 124p. And be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioner of the Fifth District
of said county shall appoint at a meeting in the month of May
of each year a commission, consisting of himself and three tax-
payers, one from each election precinct in said Fifth District,
who shall have the power to establish grades for all roads,
streets, alleys and highways in said district; and it shall be
the duty of said commission so appointed to expend the money
set aside for the purpose of said improvement and maintenance
in said district.

SEC. 124g. And be it enacted, It shall be the. duty of the
commission first appointed to compile a building code, which,
when approved by the Board of County Commissioners, shall be
the law governing the erection of buildings in said district.

SEC. 124h. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners shall have the power to set aside such other sums of
money as in their judgment may be necessary for further im-
provements in said district; provided, however, that said money
shall be collected from said district named in this bill and shall
not be chargeable to any other districts of the county.

SEC. 124i. And be it enacted, That the County Commission-
ers shall have the power to appoint for each district of the
county, as aforesaid, a commission of three taxpayers thereof
to carry out the provisions of this Act in their respective dis-
tricts, to be appointed in the same manner and to serve for the
like purposes as hereinbefore provided for the Fifth District.

SEC. 124j. And be it enacted, That all Acts or parts of Acts
contrary to or in conflict with the provisions of this Act be
and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 124K. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the first day of May, 1910.
