532 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

land, That Sections 171D and 178D of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," subtitle "Justices of the
Peace," as the same were enacted by Chapter 301 of the Acts
of 1894, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted so
as to read as follows:

171D. The Police Justice of the Fifth District shall have an
office at the station-house in the town of Brooklyn, and also
an office at the station-house in South Baltimore, in said dis-
trict, and he shall attend at each of his offices every day of the
week, except Sundays, for at least two hours at each place, of
which hours of attendance at each of his offices the said Justice
shall give notice by proper advertisement.

178D. The Police Justice of the Fifth District of said county,
for his services in criminal cases, shall receive from the County
Commissioners the sum of eighty-five dollars per month, pay-
able in cash, or by levy equivalent to cash, on the day of his
making his report, as hereinafter provided; and he shall not
receive, directly or indirectly, any other fees or compensation
in criminal cases, or cases of violation of any of the laws of
this State; and all fees of constables for services of process in
criminal cases in the Fifth District shall be paid to the County
Commissioners.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 67.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section one
hundred and fifty-five of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," subtitle "Fish, Crabs
and Terrapin," as said Section was re-enacted by Chapter
three hundred and seventy-seven of the Acts of nineteen
hundred.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section one hundred and fifty-five of Article 2 of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County,"
subtitle "Fish, Crabs and Terrapin," be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

SEC. 155. It shall not be lawful for any person or corporation
to set, place, construct or use at any time in the waters of
the Severn river, in Anne Arundel County, or in any creek,
cove, tributary or inlet thereof, any pound net, buck net or
purse net; or to take or catch fish in any manner, except with
